My "real" blog is The New Life of E-Patient Dave. But it got cluttered over there, with all the non-medical things I wanted to post, so here's my im-patient blog. (Not that I was ever known for actually being impatient, of course...)
I'll write about politics, music, people I like, and anything else. Because it's my life, and I can do what I want with it. And maybe, if they're nice, I'll let certain other people post here too.

Woohoo, welcome to the blogosphere Jere!
I'll explain how to make links work. Thanks for contributing!
Soooo, here's the deal with adding a link in Blogger. (Blogger is this blogging software, which Google bought years ago. It's free, and anyone can start a blog and make it public or private, as described in this two minute video. For some reason a blog created using blogger says ".blogspot." in its URL, instead of the more obvious ".blogger.". Go figure.)
When you're writing a post in Blogger, there are two tabs on the editing box: EDIT HTML or COMPOSE. The latter means you can sorta see what it'll look like (a rough approximation of the fonts) and the former, EDIT HTML, means you can see all the coding guts that make it look that way. Until you really want to get fancy, just use COMPOSE.
In Blogger's editing toolbar there's an odd icon that looks like a pea wearing goggles. The goggles are supposed to look like links of chain. (Links, get it?) So you select the text that you want underlined as the link, and click that icon, and up pops a box where you can paste in the link.
btw, editors on a Blogger blog will see a pencil icon at the bottom of each post. Click it, and you get to edit that post.
