The only reason I believe that I am not on the hit list(s) of my three cats (they do not always share interests, have no herding instincts, and exhibit no demonstrable cooperative behavior, so each of them has her own list) is that it has not eluded their attention who it is who doles out the food and does the hunting/gathering at the local supermarket.

Likewise our cat looks to us for food. But he also knows we're much bigger than he is. That's all that saves us.
